NEWARK, NJ (Wednesday, August 7, 2002) ¾ e-Law, LLC announced the introduction of case alert services directly connected to the MS Outlook calendar. By linking e-Law and MS Outlook, users can electronically receive and calendar date changes and case commitments automatically from the court. Once in MS Outlook, users may print calendars and set count-down alarms – indeed use all the functionality of this premier product. Beyond MS Outlook, the majority of Case Management Systems can connect to MS Outlook as well enabling their Case Management System to stay automatically insync with the court without manual intervention or re-entry of case information.
"With over 26,000 members already registered with e-Law, the need for accurate, up-to-date and easy to access court docket information is obvious,” reports Jerry Krivitzky, Chairman and CEO of E-Law, LLC. “By placing your cases on e-Watch and selecting this new Outlook Update Feature, case information will begin to automatically populate your MS Outlook Calendar and continue to refresh as often as you please. No re-entry of case dates and data is required once registered. Not only is this process easier, it is much more accurate than alternatives."
"We often encounter firms that have no appreciation for the high level of effort expended by their staff on maintaining case docket information,” says Ed Denné, Chief Operating Officer. “For firms that have elected to use MS Outlook for calendaring or have reached a point where they need to consider a more automated way to manage their case loads, e-Law now provides the best solutions at a very attractive price. MS Outlook is a great entry level option. We also have integrated e-Law with TrialWorks – a much more robust case management solution. Either way, e-Law delivers."
e-Law, based in Newark, NJ, has been operating a website at www.e-law.com since October 2000 that serves the New York legal community. Free access to state Supreme Court civil cases for the five boroughs of New York City plus eight surrounding counties has attracted more than 26,500 registered users who have researched more than 2.7 million cases. e-Law also hosts the documents for the Enron Bankruptcy.
This synchronization between MS Outlook or TrialWorks and e-Law.com is accomplished through a Web Services API [Application Programming Interface]. E-Law also supports an open Web Services API available to all Case Management Systems for complete docket information.
Lawex was founded by experienced Trial Attorneys who took their knowledge of the practice of law and litigation and applied it to develop what is today TrialWorks - considered the most technologically advanced case management software package for litigators.
