NEWARK, NJ (Monday, December 29, 2003) ¾ e-Law, LLC announced this morning that serving papers just got easier with their new offering – eServe. eLaw members can now distribute legal documents for less money, less hassle and in less time. eServe introduces an array of tools that simplify the process of legal document distribution, management and confirmation.
“We’ve attracted over 44,500 members to eLaw.com with tracking, calendaring, copying and appearance services,” commented Dominick Esposito, Executive Director of Business Development, eLaw, LLC. “We have now taken another major step by introducing eServe that enables lawyers to use our efficient and trusted Internet site to distribute their legal documents with confidence and control.”
eServe also represents eLaw's entry into the electronic filing [efiling] marketplace - an active space for legal technologists and information service companies such as Lexis-Nexis and Microsoft/BearingPoint. Jerry Krivitzky, Chairman of eLaw, LLC explains eLaw’s decidedly different initial strategic focus: "Most of the players in efiling focus on the courts and bringing them up to digital speed. Many pilot projects have failed because not enough attention has been paid to the needs of the lawyers and firms that will use the system. eLaw’s growth has been driven by giving lawyers what they want and then supporting them with world class customer service.. We hope to give efiling a jump start before it becomes a reality in the NY/NJ Metro area. For every paper filed in court, two to five copies of that paper must also be served upon other lawyers — eServe is uniquely focused across this entire process."
“eLaw is also more than just an Internet presence. Indeed eLaw gives members access to several of our well established sister companies you’ve trusted to deliver for over 100 years,” continued Ed Denne, Chief Operating Officer, e-Law, LLC. “eLaw delivers an electronic experience on the Internet supported by Lawyers Diary and Manual, American Clerical Service and New Jersey Lawyers Service. We’ve made a commitment across our companies to improve the practice of law — eServe is our most current illustration of that commitment.”
Registration, membership, searching and case details are FREE at e-Law.com. Now is a great time to signup and an even better time to give us a call and learn more about eServe and reserve your place in the rollout.
