NEWARK, NJ (Monday, February 27, 2006) - eLaw, LLC announced this morning that it has expanded its coverage of jurisdictions to include both index number and name search capabilities for the five New York City Civil courts.

“The signature of eLaw has been our focus on simplifying and enabling access to court dockets. Using the same web site to explore additional courts and jurisdictions lowers training hurdles, cost and greatly improves the ability of both the bar and public to access details of cases of interest,” commented Dominick Esposito, Executive Director of Business Development, eLaw, LLC.

“The New York City Civil Court is the civil branch of the New York City courts system. The court handles all small claims cases and all civil cases in the city with a monetary value of under $25,000. There is a branch of the civil court in each of the boroughs of New York City and eLaw now allows unprecedented access to all of these court dockets– on-line, anytime, from virtually any Internet connection,” commented Ed Denne, Chief Operating Officer, eLaw, LLC. “Our membership can search and view case details, upcoming appearances, attorneys of record and more. We’ll even track and calendar their civil cases in an identical manner as with our Supreme Court offering.”

“Members can search and track cases in all five New York City Civil Courts, sixty-two Supreme Courts, the Eastern, Southern, Northern and Western Federal District Courts, the 1st and 2nd New York Appellate Departments, the New York and Kings County Clerk minute books and the New Jersey Federal District Court. We also are providing electronic filing in New Jersey PIP arbitration,” concluded Dominick Esposito.
